I love those journey posts, as I relive my early following of you and your blogposts about Rome, Firenze and of course The dusty olive …. Looking forward to the next episodes, but also your scans. Take care, my friend 😘
Love these journey posts as I’ve mentioned before. They’re so fun to read and relate to. I definitely was a blogger and at the time it was all about art, as I worked as a 2D animator for many years before becoming an art director. My first blogs name where I shared my art was titled, Calling All Squirrels. I don’t know how I came up with it, it made no sense at all, I don’t think I’ve even drawn a squirrel before.
Thank you so much! What you write is exactly what I was hoping, these posts would do. They are a trip down memory lane, and I love it, when people can relate to them and be reminded of their own stories, and how they got to where they are today. I think, we often tend to focus on the things, we haven't achieved, or the things we would like to get better at, especially when it comes to art or being creative. Instead I think it's great to sometimes look back at our starting point and see how far, we have gotten - despite all. Your old blog name is super cute! What I love about Substack is that it reminds me of these old blogs. Especially the fact that so many people take their time to engage and reply to posts. And the fact that all "blogs" are on the same platform just makes it easier. Substack is indeed a very positive evolution of the old blogs.
So interesting to see these old posts.
Thank you so much. I have plenty more coming up!
